Sam completed his MA in Counselling Psychology at Western University. As a clinician, Sam draws on empirically-based research to inform his practice. He has published several peer-reviewed articles on loneliness, self-care, and mental health, and uses contemporary literature to inform his practice. He recently completed an internship at the Thames Valley District School Board where he provided individual counselling services for secondary school students, and conducted psychoeducational assessments of primary students; cognitive, social-emotional, behavioural, and classroom-based functioning. Prior to his time at the school board, Sam predominantly worked and volunteered with children with intellectual disabilities. This experience included time spent both in children’s treatment centers and in a 1:1 home-based therapy setting for children with autism and their families. Sam has now extended his therapeutic practice to support adults living with addictions, anxiety, depression, and trauma/
